Few days ago I was staying at Pullman Kuching. The place is simply fantastic. Lobby was very large and spacious. Lighting was minimal but is very bright because the ceiling is transparent glass. U u can see the clear sky. I used the spa facility but didnt use the massage because I cant affort it.
It is only 5 minutes leisure walking distance to the riverside where all happenings are waiting for your arrival. Since Gawai Festival was around the corner, most streets are well lighted and decorated with colourful bulbs.
Breakfast is delicious. Nobody care for the coupon, they only ask you for the room number. I love this concept. Smokers enjoy their meal on the verandah.
The rate is so so with its nearest hotel Hilton. Right in front of Hilton is the Tune Hotel.
The only problem with Pullman is the shampoo and the shower gel container. You cannot squeeze out the content. It is not flexible. Shake shake shake and only certain amount came out. But the bathroom and the toilet is very large n grand. You can park xtra bed in there if you want.
Seven Eleven is just 2 minutes walk. But the nearest Malay [halal] restaurant is at Satok. Taking a taxi there is like taking a risk of being cheated. The local govt and authorities must look into this issue fast. Many tourists who are Muslim need halal eatery shops in Kuching town.
Whoever choose the location to build Pullman there must be very brilliant. the scenery from the hotel room is spectacular. Well done.
