Packed up my things at around 6.00 pm and drove to my brother's house about 5 minutes from the place I stayed since last Friday. My plan was just to drop in on the way to KL. Say hallo, have a cup of tea, if I am lucky, and move on to KL. Unfortunately, no tea but just Chinese oranges [mandarin] because of the Chinese New Year.
Malaysian are lucky, we celebrate all festivals. We took the opportunity to visit our family instead.
Passed the Ipoh South toll and straight into the long queue. Waaaa.....I didnt expect the jam at this time. It is only Saturday. The jam should be on Sunday! I quickly decided to turn back to Ipoh and will drive out at the nearest exit 5 km away. The exit was packed. Drove further to Gopeng exit, manage to get out, pay the toll and headed back to Ipoh. All together I travelled 50km.
I learned one thing here, everybody is thinking the same. Get back to KL on Saturday instead of Sunday. Everybody was bluffed. Next, the highway is packed at every RnR, keep to the right.
So I drive back to Kl on Sunday morning, 7.00 am to be exact, but the highway is again filled up. But this time, it is smooth flow.
