MEDAN INDONESIA

i was in Medan just yesterday ie since Monday...place is quite filthy or just very filthy...the people ie trishaw fellas are just ready to cheat you as much as they can.

one night I walked to the little taman in front of the Masjid Raya to have a plate of rojak and a drink...guess what....the lousy rojak is RM7.00 a plate and the drink is RM5.00. and during the meal i was busy with mosquito

if you are in Medan, take a trishaw to Merdeka Walk or to Jalan Keling. merdeka Walk is a 'happening' place where food is quite expensive but the place is really nice. Visitors to this place are well dressed and behaved. I suppose this area is for rich people.But if you go to Jalan Keling, food is really our taste [Malaysian taste/flavour] is cheap. Ask for air durian belanda. I forgotten what they call this fruit, but ask them for sure.
