Ever been to the junction where you can buy very good quality pineapples, locals junk food and very cheap china wares. Either you are traveling to the North or to the South, I advice you to stop at Ayer Hitam and have alook.
But you must walk into all corners because there are many hidden stores. Many people only flock to areas where you can buy fruits and junk food. There are more up there.
I visited the place first time in 1978 and the place have not change much. I can safely say no change at all. I hope the state or local govt can take the initiative to make the place more attractive, clean and neat. parking is a problem too, but fortunately people are driving slowly there.
I think the present govt will do something for the good of everybody
